General Festival Guidelines

Respect for All Participants
The Vigo Film Festival celebrates diversity and encourages respect for all individuals. Discrimination, harassment, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. We ask all attendees to foster an inclusive environment for everyone involved.

Film Content Guidelines
All films submitted must be in line with the festival's values, exploring meaningful storytelling and creative expression. Films containing explicit or offensive content should be submitted with appropriate warnings and detailed descriptions. All films are subject to review by the festival's programming committee.

Official Selection
The films selected for the official lineup are chosen based on their artistic merit, storytelling, and relevance to the festival’s themes. The final selection is made by a panel of industry experts and curators.

Submission and Participation Rules

Film Submission
Filmmakers must adhere to the festival’s submission guidelines, including format specifications, subtitles, and the submission deadline. Films that do not meet the technical requirements or the thematic scope of the festival may not be selected.

Screening and Presentation
Selected films must be available for screening in the required format and resolution. Filmmakers are expected to provide necessary materials for the festival’s promotion and screening arrangements, including high-quality trailers, posters, and any promotional content.

Participation by Invitation
Participation in workshops, masterclasses, and networking events is by invitation or registration. All participants are expected to act professionally and attend events in good faith, engaging with the festival’s mission and community.
